macOS Sierra 10.12 which was formerly known as OS X. This box requires the VirtualBox Extension Pack.

After 31 December 2026

This box is served by HCP Vagrant, which stops on 31 December 2026. From then on vagrant box add jhcook/macos-sierrafails unless the publisher moves it and you point Vagrant at the new place. To keep working without waiting:

1. Export the versions you use now, while the API still answers: a tested script downloads every version and writes a metadata.json.
2. Host the copy on any static host and set config.vm.box_url, or in a registry that keeps the name jhcook/macos-sierra through VAGRANT_SERVER_URL: BoxHarbor.
3. Watch the publisher: many are announcing new homes in their repositories. What each option keeps.
