EliteCalc privacy policy

This policy covers EliteCalc, the calculator app for Android (package com.elitecalc.app). EliteCalc is made by Factodus and published on Google Play under the developer name “dr.benzin”. “We” in this policy means the developer.
In short
EliteCalc collects no personal data, and we store none on servers and share none with anyone. The app has no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no accounts, and we run no servers for it.
Motion and orientation sensors
The app reads the phone’s motion and orientation sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope and rotation vector) to move the shadows and to make the keys wobble when you tilt, shake or twist the phone. The readings are used on the fly on your device and are never stored or transmitted.
What stays on your device
To run the 7-day trial, the app saves the date it was first opened in its private storage on your device. That date is never sent to us. Your calculations are never sent anywhere either.
If Android backup is turned on, Android may include the app’s data in your own device backup in your Google account. We have no access to that backup. Uninstalling EliteCalc removes what it stored on the device.
Purchases
After the 7-day trial, a one-time purchase unlocks the app. The purchase is made and processed by Google Play, and Google’s privacy policy applies to it. We never receive your card or other payment details. The app asks Google Play only for the price and whether you have bought it.
Like every developer on Google Play, we get sales reports from Google (such as order numbers, prices and the country or region of each purchase) and anonymous crash reports. We use them only for accounting and to fix bugs.
Permissions
- Vibrate (
VIBRATE): the haptic tap when a key is pressed. - Internet and network state (
INTERNET,ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): used only to check and make the purchase through Google Play. - Google Play billing (
com.android.vending.BILLING): to offer the one-time purchase.
The app asks for no access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos or files. Android may also list com.elitecalc.app.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION: the AndroidX library adds it so that the app’s own components can signal each other, and it gives access to nothing.
Children
EliteCalc is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
